Please note that independent creation of website backup copies is a free service. By spending only a few minutes to make a simple, convenient website backup copy, you can spend more time to polish your website's creativity and productivity.
- When making a backup copy please bear in mind that this function copies everything that exists on website. This process can take up to 5 minutes.
- Creating backup copies is available for all the websites, regardless of their custom design or paid services packages activated.
- The maximum number of backup copies – 1.
- You cannot download your website archive on your computer. The backup copy is stored on server as long as your website exists in the "Inkapi" project.
1. How to create a website backup copy
In the top navigation menu of your website management system go to "Admin" - "Website backup copy"
Click on the "Create a backup copy of the website" hyperlink:
The backup copy will be created. You will see a notification.
. Please bear in mind that the backup copy creation process can take up to 5 minutes. To make a correct website backup copy, please don't make any changes in the website during the backup creation process:
As soon as the backup copy will be ready, the system will redirect you to the website management system page that allows you to update the backup copy or restore the website from the latest backup copy:
2. How to update the website backup copy
In the top navigation menu of your website management system go to "Admin" - "Website backup copy"
Click on the "Update the backup copy of the website":
The website backup copy will be updated. You will see a notification. Please bear in mind that the backup copy creation process can take up to 5 minutes. To make a correct website backup copy, please don't make any changes in the website during the backup creation process. You can view the last backup copy date on this page: "Admin" - "Website backup copy".
3. How to restore website from a backup copy
In the top navigation menu of your website management system go to "Admin" - "Website backup copy"
Click on the "Restore the website from the backup copy" hyperlink:
restores the last made backup copy automatically after clicking the "Restore the website from the backup copy" hyperlink.
Please note, that system can create only one website backup copy. This means that existing website data will completely be replaced by backup copy data that was saved earlier. You cannot revert to the website as it was before restoring the backup copy.
